David is identified as "a man after God's own heart." He wasn't perfect but he found his peace in the Lord. This January/February series journeys with David from his shepherding days to his time when he becomes king. We will look at parallel accounts from Jesus' early ministry to see how Jesus was ultimately the fulfillment of the promises that David held on to. We pray this series gives you a heart filled with God's peace for your year ahead!
A new year can feel big before it feels clear. This week encourages people that they don’t need the full picture—God already sees the whole story.
WEEK 2 — Troubled: Where Peace Comes From (Jan 18)
Many hope the new year will finally feel settled. This week reframes peace as something received, not achieved.
WEEK 3 — Challenged: The Fight Belongs to God (Jan 25)
People are stepping into challenges this year (family, finances, health, work). This week encourages confidence without pressure—God goes before us.
WEEK 4 — Afraid: When the Way Is Unclear (Feb 1)
Uncertainty is common at the start of a year. This week reassures people that lack of clarity does not mean lack of God.
WEEK 5 — Attacked: The Lord Is My Shepherd (Feb 8)
Sometimes the year brings pressure or conflict we didn’t choose. This week reassures people they are not without care.
WEEK 6 — Becoming: God Is Faithful (Feb 15)
The new year isn’t about reinvention, but continuation. God is faithful over time.
